Novotel Hildesheim City

Quiet surroundings, perfect for a restful sleep.

Booked standard double room with free wifi available. This hotel was located in a very central area next to the restaurant, central train station and real center of Hildesheim. Didn't like when it was particularly hot outside, went to Culver's to relax and grab some food.

It was in a perfect location with helpful staff...

The surroundings are beautifully green and the hotel building features more character than typical modern establishments. The private parking offers ample space and convenience .

The lack of air conditioning is a major drawback. On warm nights, rooms can become uncomfortably hot, impacting sleep quality. Noise from the bar echoes down the corridors, and unexpected early morning wake-up calls from cleaning staff can disrupt late check-outs.

Hotel is clean, well organized and serving a good breakfast buffet

Even though I stayed in a non-smoking room, I suffered from cigarette smoke coming from opening on the wall. When I asked to receptionist, she told me that on 1st floor there are smoking rooms and hotel infrastructure let the smoke go to the upper floors. If you can solve this problem that would be nice.

We ate at a modest restaurant at the bar and the restaurant. Had great facilities, such as a work desk, coffee/tea making machines, and a TV. Its location relatively near a timber framed house was marvellous and beautiful. This hotel was in a pretty nice area.

Recommend it for families needing comfort

The room was spacious, clean, and had a nice view. Breakfast was a delight, the fresh ingredients made a real difference.

Wasn't exactly cheap, but still reasonable for what you get.

We liked the friendly service at the main desk. We like the friendly service at the restaurant. We liked its nearness to the train station. The room was clean and the windows opened wide for fresh air.

We disliked the fact that there were too few hangers in the closet, so we had to hang four shirts on one hanger and coats over the chairs. 2. We disliked very much that there were no shelves or chest of drawers where we could store socks, sweaters, underwear etc. 3. We disliked the fact that there were no towel racks or places to hang up clothes which we had rinsed out.

This is the second time I've stayed here and though OK isn't at the standard of a usual International Hotel. It's clean enough and the rooms are large but the restaurant a disappointment.

The location is ideal, with the railway station and city center both within an easy 8-minute walk, surrounded by a lovely garden and historic architecture. The breakfast offered a decent selection, including fresh options, but the lack of variety in warm food and lukewarm tea during the breakfast service was disappointing. My room was clean and spacious, but the bed's softness hindered a restful night's sleep, and the absence of air conditioning could be problematic during warmer months.

Very good service, nice beds, easy parking and nesr to the nice city center

Last night when it was hot outside I would appreciate an air condition in the room.

The staff was always very helpful and friendly and the room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. The location is a few minutes from the train station and the city center. Good breakfast, fresh and with variety. Overall a great hotel, I definitely recommend it.

Expensive (but good) breakfast at 18€ and wireless internet at 8€. If interested, ask for a bundle at the reception for 21€.

Do recommend for a fleeting stay

Comfortable bed, spacious room, the tv helped us unwind after a day of exploring the area.

All was flawless.
